We offer private training, group training, puppy training, leash work, reactivity rehabilitation, socialisation, behavioural support, breed-specific training and dog sport activities.

Training plans are adapted to the individual dog rather than based on a fixed curriculum

Training isn’t only for dogs with behavioural problems.

Some owners come to us because they have a new puppy. Others want better communication, easier walks or help preparing their dog for life in a busy city.

Professional help can be particularly useful if you’re dealing with behaviours such as reactivity, fear, excessive barking, pulling, destructive behaviour or difficulty settling. If you’re unsure, an initial assessment is usually the easiest place to start.

Yes.

We work with puppies, adults and senior dogs across a wide range of breeds and backgrounds.

The training itself is adjusted according to the dog’s age, health, temperament, breed traits and individual needs.

Private sessions give us the opportunity to work specifically on your dog and your goals without the additional pressure of a group environment.

Group classes allow dogs and owners to practise those skills around controlled distractions.

For many dogs, private training comes first and group work is introduced later when they’re ready.

Private sessions typically last around 90 minutes, although this may be adjusted depending on the dog and the type of training.
Group sessions generally last around two hours.

We prioritise the quality of the session over keeping a dog working simply because the clock says
we should

There isn’t one answer.

Some changes can happen very quickly. Other behaviours, particularly fear and reactivity, may require considerably more time.

Progress depends on the dog, the behaviour we’re working on, their environment and how consistently training can be continued between sessions.

We’ll always give you a realistic idea of what to expect after assessing your dog.

Reward-based training is an important part of how we work.
We focus heavily on communication, motivation, reinforcement, management and understanding why a behaviour is happening rather than simply trying to stop it.

The exact approach is adapted to the individual dog and situation, with the dog’s welfare and ability to understand the training always kept in mind.

Absolutely.

Actually, we actively want you there. Our job isn’t simply to teach your dog something and hand them back to you. We want owners to
understand what we’re doing, why we’re doing it and how to continue using those skills at home.

Bring:
– your dog’s normal collar or harness
– a regular or training leash
– treats your dog genuinely enjoys
– water, particularly in warm weather

Please don’t bring a retractable/Flexi leash for training.
If additional equipment is needed, we’ll let you know.

Yes.

Reactivity and behavioural rehabilitation are a significant part of our work. These dogs are assessed individually so we can understand the triggers, history, environment and reasons behind the behaviour before deciding how training should proceed. Safety and appropriate management come first.

Then we change the plan.

Dogs learn differently, and not every technique works equally well for every dog.

If something isn’t working, we look at why, adjust the environment or approach and find a clearer way forward. Training should adapt to the dog, not the other way around.

We use evidence-informed training based on learning theory, reinforcement, clear communication, management and behaviour modification.

Rather than following one rigid system, we look at the individual dog, the reason behind the behaviour and what approach is most appropriate for that situation.

Our priority is effective training that owners can realistically continue in everyday life

Online consultations are available for clients who cannot attend in person and for issues that can be worked through remotely.

They’re also useful for follow-up sessions, training-plan reviews and troubleshooting.

Bookings can be requested through our online booking system.

New clients will normally start with an initial private assessment so we can meet you and your dog, discuss your goals and recommend the most appropriate next step.
